Noget jeg fandt i Google groups - mulige årsager, når der kommer hvis eller grå røg fra bussen.
Måske det kan hjælpe nogen?

Actual white,


Water vapour on cold start, very rarely water ingress from head gasket
cracked head , liner etc.


Black or dark grey,


(i)    At full load any revs = max pump injection setting too high, excess
fuel start device not resetting. Service pump


(ii)    At full load high & medium revs with lower than expected engine noise = pump timing retarded. Re-time pump.


(iii)    At full load, low & medium revs with higher than expected engine
noise = pump timing advanced. Re-time pump.


(iv)    At full load, high & medium revs & loss of power = injector nozzle
holes blocked. Service injectors.


(v)    At full load high revs only = blocked air cleaner or other air inlet
restriction.


(vi)    Intermittent puffy with white or bluish tinges & possibly some
knocking = injector nozzle stuck open. Service injectors.


(vii)    At full loads & engine runs faster than normal = pump governor
incorrectly set or faulty. Service pump.


(viii)    At full loads but high speed less than normal = governor venturi
throat partially blocked in vacuum type, especially if the engine breather is upstream. Clean.


(ix)    At most revs & speeds, bluish to whitish when cold & on startup =
nozzle spray hitting cyl head, due to incorrect fitting (NB left over copper
washers between the head & the injector)


(x)    At high loads & revs = injector valve lift too high. Service injectors.


(xi)    At all speeds & high loads & hard starting = low cyl pressure, rings,
bore, valves etc Hmmm sorry ;-)


(xii)    At full load, medium & high revs & lower power = injector pipes bent or crushed. Don't bend or worse "re" bend.


Blue, bluish-grey or greyish-white,


(i)    Blue, whitish when cold at high revs light load but reducing & possibly changing to black as the engine warms, with some loss of power = pump timing retarded or advance faulty. Re-time or service pump.


(ii)    Blue, whitish when cold but persisting when hot, with knocking =
injector nozzle stuck open. Service injectors.


(iii)    Blue at all revs & loads, hot or cold = oil past rings/bore (worn or
sticking) hmmm again.


(iv)    Blue when accelerating after a long idle = oil past valve stems &/or
valve stem seals. Head job but don't tell Harry I used such language ;-)


(v)    At max revs = over full oil bath air cleaner or turbo seals.


(vi)    Light blue at high revs light load with acrid odour = engine running
too cold, thermostat stuck.
